Where motorcycle enthusiasts meet to arrange their ride-outs. Designed in 2004
to cater for the needs of North West Englands Bikers, the Website has
inevitably grown in all directions.
The purpose of the site, unlike most general biker sites, is to specifically
arrange ride-outs with like minded people. Also the banter, and the fun in the
forum is important to us! The Ride-outs are always fun and professionally
organised. There are
NO CHARGES
to take part and website membership is totally
FREE,
and what's more, you will soon be making new friends.
Northukbikers has 115 + members and its membership list is continually kept up-to-date.
(We unlike other ride-out sites, do NOT keep non-posting
members). Our members are encouraged to
take part as riders or organisers and belong to a website that is a motorcycling community and for some, a way of life. Our ride-outs get
bigger and better each year. For example, a trip across to Ireland, has resulted in a yearly ride to the Emerald
Isle. We have quality accommodation provided at cheap prices especially for
Northukbikers members . Trips into
Europe each year are becoming the norm, together with weekends in Scotland and
Wales. The main business of Northukbikers.co.uk
is to get mutually minded bikers out on their bikes. Ride-outs predominantly
start in Lancashire, Greater Manchester and Cheshire and end up in Derbyshire,
Wales, Yorkshire, Cumbria and Scotland. Generally anywhere there are good roads!
Our rides generally occur every Sunday during spring, summer and autumn and during the season whenever members want them. Rides are arranged by the members for the members and generally led by Ride-out Leaders (our highly experienced or trained riders, or those who have demonstrated their ability to lead in the past). There are also rides that are family friendly! Yes, we do Pillion Rides, where riders are encouraged to bring their spouse or child as pillion. We tame these rides in terms of speed and style of riding.
Northukbikers runs a ride-out ranking system, which provides members with the information needed to decide whether a ride-out is correct for them, some may wish to travel sedately, and some may wish to travel quickly to the destination, all of these options are covered by our category and ranking system.
How northukbikers varies from many of the biker Websites out there is that members try to keep the language down and avoid use of adult rated material and welcome family members of all ages. We adopt a policy of if you wouldn't like your child reading that, don't post it
The Administration team consists of three key members, and we all watch out for any problems arising, although we haven't had any serious problems as yet. Board Moderators ensure the smooth running of the site.

also has several additional features. You can get a free e-mail address, which can be accessed from MS Outlook. Private Messages can also be sent to other members. You get your own member profile where you can add your own information. Other members can then look at this to see who you are, where you are from etc.Women have a section, called Women on Wheels, where they can chat to other female bikers, away from male members, as well as all the other areas of the site, females can feel safe on Northukbikers.
You might be wondering about how can all of this be free? Well, the webmaster, meets all costs involved, and there are no requirements for sponsorship, or payments to the webmaster, in any way, shape or form. As far as we are concerned, members should all get the same features, regardless of status, and we do not believe in any payment schemes whatsoever.
Northukbikers features, several photo galleries of our ride-outs, and uploads, downloads and image are viewable to everyone. There are no limits on sizes of uploads, and, we require NO SPONSORSHIP or PAYMENTS for this unlike some sites, and you won't need to install any additional software, everything is integrated into the forum!
